Hiya!!

Okay, so here is the start of a new project.

A little bit about myself.....at the time of this post I am a 35 year old mother of three kitties (Lily, who we lost to cancer in 2008, Salem 13ish and Inari 7ish) and wife to a wonderful, understanding and supportive husband.  In 2010 I returned to school to work on my Associate Degree in Natural Resources which I received in 2013.  I am now currently working on my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Concentration in Wildlife and Environmental Biology with a hopeful completion date of Spring 2017...fingers crossed.

Ever since I was little, I've always loved animals.  Growing up I wanted to be a Game Warden, but that dream went out the window when I injured my knee in school and then had my back screwed up thanks to a car accident (jerk ran a red light and t-boned me).  I still want to work with animals but found that working at a veterinarian's office wasn't for me....too much emotional attachment....and the fact that I wanted to throttle all those people that couldn't be bothered to take care of their pets but had the money for the latest technological gadgets.  One thing that I would LOVE to do is work with an endangered species breeding program with one of the big cats....or foxes....or bats....or wolves....you get the idea.

I'm creating this blog as a kind of outlet to all the stress and other insanities that come with being a Bio major.

The biggest frustration that I am running into at the moment (besides the headache of keeping up with all my school work which has WAY too much memorization this term for my liking) is that every job and internship that I've looked into so far, one of the first requirements is that you have to be in excellent physical shape....I'm overweight and beside my back and knee injuries, I also have an "instability" in my ankle that the doctors have been unable to explain.  So that rules out most jobs working with animals.  I'm starting to wonder if there is anything that I can do outside of an office.

Oh well.  That is my rant for today.  Thanks for listening and putting up with me.
