Had a meeting with my adviser yesterday. Only 5 more required classes and I'll be done with my BS. So this fall I'll be taking a research class that are limited to only 5 students. Hopefully I can get into the genetics one that will be looking at deer genetics on one of the local islands, otherwise it will be a bug class. Then I'll also have Plant Taxonomy (goody more plant stuff) but I know the prof so shouldn't be too bad and Marine Biology (should be interesting since I have a fear of drowning...hopefully it will all be lab based).
My final classes that I will be taking next spring will be Animal Physiology, and Cell Biology. But in order to be full time I need at least 3 full credit courses so depending on the scheduling, I'll be adding in Museum Specimen preparation (half credit course) and/or Ornithology. So we'll have to wait and see what happens.
On an upside, I was nominated to be a member of the Pinnacle Honor Society for Adult Students at my campus. Now just waiting to hear if I made it. Fingers crossed.
Should also hear anytime now about the summer research opportunities...really hoping that I get the Chicago one as that is REALLY what I want to do, but the Boston one will be a good experience too....really hate all this waiting.
