Really?!?

I have to say that I was really shocked and disappointed that my WILDLIFE biology professor had NO IDEA who Lonesome George was!!  He was only the oldest recorded Pinta Island Tortoise, the icon of the Galapagos conservation efforts, the LAST of his species....and he supposedly knew DARWIN for crying-out-loud!!!  How could you possibly be a wildlife professional and NOT know who he was!
